Our next stop…. Eureka, California. Our week here seemed to go pretty fast. We drove Avenue of the Giants. I can never get over and always in awe of the magnificent Redwoods. We also stopped at Confusion Hill. Just a roadside tourist trap but you know… sometimes ya just gotta check it out. Took one day and enjoyed a nice drive through Ferndale and over the mountains and out to the ocean. Ferndale is an amazing little town with tons of old but very well kept Victorian style houses. We had lunch there and drove around just to take in all the gorgeous houses.
Eureka also had the absolute best grocery store in town…. and best one that we’ve been to on the road so far. North Coast Co-op. OMG… this store blew us away. This was our first time in a coop store and now we actually go out of our way to look for one. We have totally fallen in love with coop stores… long story short. So….. one night we decided to make one of our stay in nights a little more interesting. We made our own charcuterie board for dinner… had some drinks and watched a movie. All board products we got from the coop. I think this is going to become thing for us every now and then. Loved it!!!
