Florence, Oregon

Our next stay was a two weeks in Florence, Oregon.  I loved it here.  Not only was the Thousand Trails park we stayed in very pretty, but Florence itself was a great little town.  It has a lovely downtown area right along the river.  We had dinner there one night and even bought some local roasted coffee from a nice little coffee shop a couple times while while there too.

Took a drive to the Sea Lion Caves.  I really enjoyed this.  It was a little stinky and loud, but so great nonetheless.  Did some more driving along the coast and stopped for photos and finally got to see Thor’s Well.  It’s been on our list of things to see for a long time.  Sadly it wasn’t all that exciting.  Now I do have to say… I’m sure when the tide is just right… it’s probably a sight to see, but that wasn’t the case for when we were there.

During our time here we also got all our paperwork for our passports sent off.  Crossing our fingers that is a fast process and we can go into Canada when we are in north Washington.

We also drove over to check out the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm Festival.  Now this was a sight to behold.  So many colors and types of tulips…. I never knew there were that many.  We brought some home with us along with some art work from a couple artist at the festival.

Other than that… just more driving along the coast.
