We stayed 4 days just outside the south entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. We did this boondocking and it was our first boondocking to be exact. It was a bit stressful, being new at this and all, but for the most part, we did really well. Every time we used water, I just knew that was the last of it… but 70 gallons of water lasts way longer than you think and that’s something that I had to understand or have a stroke from the stress. The only problem we ended up having was mice. Yes… I said mice!!! In our year of travel, we have not had to deal with this yet and after talking to many other full time RV travelers… we have been lucky. Zeebee was of no help what so ever in this matter. They interested her… not a bit. Got rid of them though and now ever boondocking back there is probably a no for me. Other than that… we really enjoyed the park itself. Beautiful in it’s own stark desert way. Lots of really cool rock formations and many different varieties of cactus. We did a few trails here and there and we also hiked out to Wall Street Mill. This was a trudge through a very dry, sandy riverbed. Was worth it though.
