Our next stop was at a Escapees Park just outside of Port Townsend, Washington. Our week here was great. We spent lots of time looking around Port Townsend. This is the cutest little seaside town. We had explored it just a little last year when we drove up for a whale watching tour and we had really liked. This trip let us look around a lot more and spend more time in the area. One day we drove the rest of the Olympic Peninsula Loop that we didn’t make it to last year when we were in Washington. We did drive on around and go back to Forks again and this time we made it to La Push. Such a gorgeous area. There were eagles flying around and seals swimming in the water. Had lunch at a little cafe and enjoyed the scenery. We also went to Hurricane Ridge. We waiting in a long line for this and it did not disappoint. The top was spectacular! Plus there was snow and that is always a bonus for me. Deer were just hanging around all over the place. Saw some marmots too. That’s about all the long distance sight seeing we did. We visited Port Townsend’s Co-op many times though… and you might think that is weird to add in here, but we LOVE a good Co-op and a good Farmer’s Market too, and this place had both. Really enjoyed our time here.
